New Opel Corsa now with LPG

Opel adds a new ecological and low-power version of the Opel Corsa range, the 1.4 LPG, which can run on Liquefied Petroleum Gas. Performed on the Corsa 1.4 petrol engine 90 hp, the Opel Corsa 1.4 LPG is available with a price from 11,900 Euros. It's the same price of 90 hp Corsa 1.4, although for the latter there is a discount around 2,000 Euros which in principle is not applicable to the LPG version.

The Opel Corsa 1.4 LPG thus becomes an option for those looking for a car with the advantages of low cost per kilometer offering LPG, and an installation already done at the factory, facing the option of adapting a gasoline model I run on LPG once purchased.

Clean and low cost per kilometer
With a current price of 0.74 Euros per liter in Spain, according to the option Opel Corsa LPG reduces the costs of using 50 percent against the equivalent version running on petrol. In reality, and tests have models that use LPG real advantage is rather around 35 percent when comparing consumption Euros per 100 km traveled, which remains a significant savings.

This saving is due to lower fuel prices, which just offset the increased consumption of LPG running version 6.9 l / 100 km -5.1 for gasoline Corsa 1.4 homologated. The emissions are 113 g / km of CO2, around 13 percent less than the Corsa petrol, with a much greater advantage in emissions of nitrogen oxides, which are reduced by up to 80 percent.

As in other cars with LPG, Corsa is "bivalent": the driver only has to press a button to switch between modes with petrol or LPG. Autonomy considering the two deposits reaches 1,200 km, due to additional LPG tank, which is installed in the space originally intended for spare wheel.
